‘Where are you Lord?’ – we cry
‘Have you forgotten me?’ – we question
It’s true our situation make us to say this
Do you know the one who cares is near you?
‘Where are you Lord?’ –Cried Mary
The reality around her blinded her eyes
She couldn’t see the resurrected one near her
Is your eyes closed to see the one standing near you?
‘Where are you Lord?’- wondered the disciples of Emmau
They were deeply worried and felt left alone
They couldn’t see the Lord walking with them
Is your eyes closed to see the one walking with you?
‘Who are you Lord?’ thought the sick man in Bethesda
Long years of suffering has closed his mind
He couldn’t understand the one who came to help him
Is your mind so closed to understand the one standing near you?
‘Where are you my child?’ –cries our Lord
Those who saw me near them crossed fires and water
Do you fail to see me in the midst of your trials?
‘Open my eyes Lord, to see you near me’ is my cry!
